“Whispered the forest & its trees, Little deer, tell us your story again. Smiled, I & asked, What will you gain hearing it time & again? Replied the forest at once, It is not just a story of a deer, but of we all forest, earth, sky, trees, wind and river. It is a testimony to trust, love, hope & courage that we will all remember for ages. With a smile, again, I began to narrate my story, which breathed my love, fear, success, failure & glory. It spanned from my birth in the forest to human captivity, from where I escaped to explore life s other possibility. Everywhere and every moment I received help from Nature, & it taught me to experience life from closer. I learnt that the other name of life is a mystery, and that it is beautiful with all its unknown twists and unpredictability. Once I finished my narration, the forest was throbbing with life, there prevailed only peace, silence & joy, and no strife. Name your story, breathed the forest and every living entity it contained. Thought I for a while and replied… Paradise Lost & Regained….

My Review:

The book starts telling us how this deer takes birth and her mother’s love and affection towards her is shown brilliantly, Baby deer is taught many essential lessons and the story moves on. The story will keep you engrossed as new things keeps on adding up. I simply loved the climax. It made me smile and it feels good to make mistakes, feel bad and learn? Isn’t it.

Positive points:

Concept: Paradise Lost & Regained by Ratnadip Acharya is an unusual concept. Many important lessons are been taught in the book. The essential philosophical facts are been taught but depicting deer in the picture. I appreciate author for writing something out of the box.

Language: As a reader, I never felt an urge to reach for dictionary as the language used by the author is simple and I personally feel, Book will be appreciated by the masses for the same reason. While reading the story you’ll be able to imagine the scenes in front of you. That’s what the magic of words is all about.

Writing Style: I repeat, I could feel the same that was happening in the story, Yes, you’ll smile and even get frightened at times.

Story Line: There are few tales that directly touches the chords of the heart and I feel this tale is one of them. The beauty of the book is, you know all those lessons which are said and taught in the story, but most of the times we need someone to remind us the importance of our life.

Title of the book: I personally like these kind of titles where nothing much is revealed and that indirectly engross readers to read the story.

Last but not the least, I liked the way how each chapter begins with a quote.

Negative points:

At some point of time, while reading the book, you’ll feel like it has been stretched unnecessarily. That’s the only drawback I could point out after completing the book.

My Review:

The title, the first thing you notice about the book. The second is the list of characters. This will surely set the mood for the story.

The writing is smooth, pleasant and the story line is simple and uncomplicated with not many add-on. From the eye catching title to the cover of the book that made me want to take up the book.

Coming up to the story, some scenes stood out in memory, what I loved the most about this story is they way author has written it, it jigs between dreams and reality. The phase of the nightmares and their consequences on Puneet is shown brilliantly. My favourite characters are Rishi and Myra. I’m going to cherish this tale for long. The characters were all undoubtedly realistic; For me the story is much more than brilliant, an unexpected story.

The plot moves quickly and smoothly, with much needed and satisfactory twists to be a page turner.

Overall an enjoyable experience. The excitement never ends.

Give it a read!

Conclusion:

And then there are few stories which leave you dumbstruck!
You are so much taken aback that no words can describe what you actually feel about the story.
One such book I read today, Hey dad! Meet my mom written by 2 young authors Sandeep Sharma and Leepi Agrawal.
